We drive IT progress forward
As an IT enabler, we develop customised concepts for successful collaboration within and between companies. In addition to our core business, it is important to us to broaden our own horizons and enter into partnerships with players from other areas of society, such as science and art. Similar to Moss, such network-like connections across different systems enrich us.
Our innovation projects are presented below. The focus is on projects from research, development and art.
Catena-X
SSC has been a member of the Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. association since 2021. In the Europe-wide partner network, well-known DAX companies and SMEs are jointly setting the framework for a new data ecosystem in the automotive industry. The aim is to enable secure, cross-company data exchange between all participants in the automotive value chain.
In addition to our active association work and helping to shape the future of the automotive industry, we at Catena-X offer qualified consulting services for the entire onboarding process. SMEs in particular receive comprehensive support for their Catena-X onboarding journey and a smooth connection to the ecosystem. Our consulting services are listed on the service marketplace of Cofinity-X, the operating company of Catena-X.

Smart Data Solution Center
SSC is a founding member of the association Smart Data Solution Center (SDSC).
The SDSC’s mission is to promote science and research in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics. Its aim is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge between research and business practice in order to develop innovative solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.
„The association has a strong network of experts in a wide range of data analysis fields. This makes it particularly easy for small and medium-sized enterprises to exchange ideas with artificial intelligence experts.“
EXCELLERAT
The European Centre of Excellence for Engineering Applications (EXCELLERAT for short) is a European conglomerate of business partners and high-performance computing centres with the aim of increasing Europe’s competitiveness in the high-performance computing (HPC) environment. SSC represents the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs for short) and is committed to building bridges between high-performance computing centres and interested SMEs in order to simplify the use of HPC for industry.
As one of the 15 European partners, we manage and advise on the topic of “Data Management” in the conglomerate.
FortissimoPlus (FFplus)
SSC is part of the European research and innovation project FFplus. Together with the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), SSC is developing an AI application that is able to interact with CAD models.
Innovation Study LLM CAD has received funding through the FFplus project, which is funded by the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101163317. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme.
Media Solution Center Baden-Württemberg
SSC is a founding member of the Media Solution Center Baden-Württemberg (MSC BW).
The vision of the MSC BW is to create a link between science and art in the digital age. The creative industries’ access to the High Performance Computing Centre Stuttgart (HLRS) is unique.
In line with our motto “Creating Connections”, SSC provides technical advice and is committed to facilitating the connection between research and media from a digital perspective.
