Moss

Moss is a fascinating species…

…and that’s why it stands as recognition feature for SSC. It seems rather inconspicuous at first sight and is barely noticed. However, it builds fascinating microhabitats, living in symbiosis together with trees and other plants. Moss creates steadily growing, network-like connections. It is able to connect, single, individually differing germ cells of the species with each other and thus developing well functioning organisms. Moss is not very demanding but extraordinarily adaptable and flexible. It is also a good indicator of outside conditions to which it reacts. Moss works exceptionally well as filter and cleansing force. It is manifold and complex, while generally remaining quite similar despite all variants.

A nice symbol, as we believe. Not least, because moss stands for peace and durability in the Japanese Zen garden.
