SSC awarded with Entrepreneur Award 2017

SSC took third place in the Entrepreneur Award for dedicated companies in the Böblingen district. SSC Managing Director Matthias Stroezel received the award yesterday in Dagersheim from District Administrator Roland Bernhard.

For the second time, the District Office of Böblingen honoured companies that are committed to the integration of refugees and new immigrants into the labour market. At SSC, an Iraqi refugee is currently being trained as an IT specialist for system integration. Prior to this, he completed an internship lasting several months and then completed an introductory qualification in the company.

Our human resources policy is aimed at retaining employees and it has been important to us from the very beginning that we may also be able to offer interns further perspectives. We are therefore delighted that our new apprentice shows full commitment and was able to identify quickly with our corporate culture,”explains Matthias Stroezel.

In addition to the Iraqi trainee, the company has this month also hired a software developer from India who has applied for asylum in Germany. At yesterday’s award ceremony in the Festhalle Dagersheim, the Office for Migration and Refugees honoured these activities with third place and prize money of 2,000 euros.

“We are very proud to have been honored with all the other great nominations. We would like to use the prize money to finance further German courses for our new colleagues. We will also use the money to help them in their difficult search for accommodation,”says Matthias Stroezel.
