Vitesco Technologies chooses SWANhosted

We are looking forward to the cooperation with our new SWAN customer, Vitesco Technologies GmbH. The former Powertrain Division of Continental AG became the independent company Vitesco Technologies in October 2019.

Vitesco Technologies employs about 40,000 people at about 50 locations worldwide and develops innovative and efficient powertrain technologies for the electrification of all types of vehicles.

For the solution of their data exchange requirements, Vitesco Technologies has chosen our all-inclusive SWANhosted service. We would like to thank them for their trust and look forward to future cooperation.

In a highly secure data center in Oberreichenbach in the Black Forest, in the former nuclear shelter of the state government of Baden-Württemberg, the SSC infrastructure is located – absolutely secure and certified according to ISO 27001 in compliance with BSI basic protection for high and very high protection requirements.

There, the SWAN server also stands for Vitesco Technologies and within the scope of SWANmanaged services the SSC specialists take care of the server operation, the application operation, the backup and security mechanisms included in the package and the updates for SWAN, so that the application is always up-to-date. Our Böblingen-based developers are continuously working on improvements and currently deliver a new version every 14 days.

The application and user support as well as the user and partner management is done by Vitesco Technologies itself.

As a matter of principle, SSC offers an ITIL-compliant, customer and service-oriented support for SWANmanaged services, from 1st level, over 2nd level to server operation.

Volker Klingenstein from the SSC sales team explains: “We look closely at the requirements of our customers and find the solution that fits the company’s needs. In the case of Vitesco Technologies, we took up the customer request that Vitesco Technologies would like to take over the 1st level support itself. Should the issues become more complex, our customer can of course always rely on the support of SSC SWAN specialists”.

Thus, Vitesco Technologies can fully concentrate on its core business and SSC ensures that the data exchange with SWAN is secure, reliable and traceable.
