The right cloud strategy. For your business.
Maximise your IT performance with the right platform: on-premises, cloud-based, or a powerful hybrid solution.
Not every application belongs in the cloud, and not every cloud is right for every application. We will objectively analyse your existing IT infrastructure and develop a technically sound, economically viable and future-proof strategy. You can choose whether to work on-premises, in the cloud or with a hybrid solution – you always remain in control.
Cloud, on-premises or hybrid? It’s a question that many companies underestimate.
Many medium-sized companies find that cloud models and existing infrastructures do not interact as planned, which has consequences for control, costs and compliance.

The expected cloud savings often fail to materialise due to complex pricing models, oversized resource provisioning and a lack of control.

Data protection, compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001) and data sovereignty (see the US Cloud Act) are particularly difficult to implement with non-European cloud providers.

Applications may perform poorly or suffer from latency issues, which has a direct impact on business processes and user satisfaction.

There is also a lack of an overarching strategy that balances architecture, operations, security and cost-effectiveness.
Ask yourself these questions too:
- Is our cloud infrastructure costing us more than it’s worth?
- How does the US Cloud Act affect our data security?
- Can we meet sensitive compliance requirements?
- Do we have control over our data and systems?
- Will our IT architecture still be viable in five years’ time?
With CloudFlex Consulting, you will receive clear answers and an actionable roadmap.

Our Solution: CloudFlex Consulting
CloudFlex is not an off-the-shelf product, but rather a consultancy and implementation concept with a clear approach. We don’t believe that everything automatically belongs in the cloud.
While many consultancy firms rely on standardised cloud strategies, we objectively analyse whether the cloud is actually the most suitable solution for your applications and requirements. Often, a hybrid approach — combining cloud and on-premises infrastructure — is significantly more efficient. If your applications are already in the cloud, we can help you migrate to a European cloud, as well as assist with cloud repatriation, which involves the targeted return of workloads to a local data centre.
- Analysis of existing IT infrastructure and applications
- Assessment of current cloud usage in terms of performance, operating costs, compliance requirements, vendor lock-in and digital sovereignty
- Development of a bespoke IT architecture strategy (on-premises, cloud or hybrid).
- Creation of a detailed migration and implementation plan
- Support with adapting/developing applications for the target strategy
- Execution of the migration by experienced specialists using agile methodologies
- Seamless integration into existing processes and systems
- Support during day-to-day operations, e.g. cost optimisation, capacity management, and automation of critical processes.
- Regular review cycles with specific recommendations for improving efficiency
- Technical support

Rethink the Cloud!
CloudFlex instead of cloud-only: The right answer is not usually an either/or situation, but rather the targeted use of cloud and on-premises solutions as part of a well-thought-out hybrid strategy.
The benefits of CloudFlex Consulting
Opting for CloudFlex Consulting is a strategic step towards greater control, cost-effectiveness, and the future-proofing of your IT. Rather than being guided by short-term trends, you can collaborate with us to establish a robust foundation for sustained growth and operational efficiency.
- Tailor-made strategies instead of standard solutions
- Reduction in licence and operating costs through the targeted use of resources
- Utilising existing potential (e.g. data centre, hardware) before making new investments
- Higher performance through needs-based system selection (e.g. on-premises for low latency).
- GDPR-compliant data processing and data sovereignty, even with hybrid architectures
- Reduction of vendor lock-in
- Greater transparency through clear architectural and operational concepts

FAQ about CloudFlex Consulting
Cloud repatriation involves the deliberate transfer of workloads and applications from a public cloud to an on-premises data centre or private cloud. This may be advisable if cloud costs exceed expectations, latency issues arise or local data storage is required for compliance reasons.
Since 2018, the US CLOUD Act has allowed US authorities to access data stored with US cloud providers under certain circumstances, even if that data is physically located in Europe. This poses a serious compliance risk for German companies that store sensitive data (e.g. customer data, intellectual property and personnel files).
A hybrid cloud combines an on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services. Examples of public cloud services include Hetzner and AWS. This setup is particularly useful when different workloads have different requirements, such as high performance and low latency for critical applications and flexible scaling for less sensitive processes.
The process follows a clearly structured sequence: needs analysis → concept & proposal → contract award → agile implementation.
Based on our experience, the project duration is typically between 3 and 12 months, depending on the scope.
