SWOX again certified by Odette organization

Our powerful OFTP2 software SWOX, an in-house development of our Böblingen software developers, has once again successfully passed the interoperability tests required by the Odette organization and received the certificate of the Odette organization. SWOX is integrated in our data exchange platform SWAN, fully complies with the requirements of the OFTP2 specification (RFC5024) and is on the list of products tested for OFTP2 compliance and interoperability.

“For the tests we were assigned a test partner in the USA by the Odette organization, with whom we performed the prescribed test cases,” reports Timo Neumann, software developer at SSC. Together with colleagues he also regularly takes part in the Odette working meetings. “The results of the meetings, in which problems are identified and solutions are worked out together, flow into the further development and improvement of SWOX”, says Timo. Volker Klingenstein, who is responsible for sales at SSC, is pleased: “We are proud to provide our customers with a powerful OFTP2 software that meets all required standards”.

OFTP2 is recommended by the German Association of the Automotive Industry and is used for data transmission over encrypted connections. Products that have received the Odette certificate are guaranteed:

• Secure handling of confidential transmissions
• Management of files of different formats and sizes
• Use of digital signature, compression and encryption

In addition to SWANenterprise and SWANhosted customers, the users of our web portal SWANcloud benefit from the integrated OFTP2 system. Whereas in 2017 2.6 terabytes of data were still being transferred, our SWANcloud customers alone transferred almost 4 terabytes via SWOX in 2019 in over 80,000 SWAN jobs.
