SSC and IONOS Join Forces for AI-Based Digital Sovereignty
SSC-Services GmbH and IONOS are entering into a partnership to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with easy and secure access to artificial intelligence. At the heart of this initiative is the SSC AI Box, which is now also available as a cloud-based version in the IONOS Cloud.
Using AI—Without Your Own Hardware
SSC has long offered a local AI Box, where all data remains on the company’s own hardware. The new cloud version, based on the IONOS infrastructure, now provides a flexible alternative. This is particularly attractive for companies that want to deploy AI quickly without having to purchase and operate their own hardware.
“Our AI Box can be easily and flexibly integrated into a company’s infrastructure. With the on-premises version and now in the IONOS Cloud, we offer our customers a flexibly scalable platform that can be adapted to their specific security needs,” explains Matthias Stroezel, Managing Director of SSC.
Data Protection in Accordance with European Standards
A key feature of the solution is that data processing takes place exclusively in European data centers. The IONOS Cloud platform comprises more than 90,000 servers distributed across thirteen locations in Germany and eleven others in Europe. Personal data is neither shared with third parties nor used for training AI models, ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
“Digital sovereignty has always been a key issue for us,” emphasizes Felix Langer, an operations employee at SSC. “We’ve been hosting our data exchange software, SWAN, in our own data centers in Germany since the very beginning. When it comes to AI, our customers now benefit from the sovereign and high-performance IONOS cloud infrastructure.”
