Fruit support for school in Leinfelden

We not only provide support for the users of our SWAN data exchange software, but also support the children at the »Ludwig-Uhland-Schule in Leinfelden with healthy fruit and vegetables.

Matthias Stroezel, Managing Director of SSC, was there last week to hand over a donation cheque and said:”Supporting a healthy lifestyle is important to me and that’s why we also offer regular sports events in Böblingen as well as a healthy company breakfast and a fruit basket for the SSC employees”.

This school year marked the start of the new »EU School Program in Baden-Württemberg. Once a week, primary school pupils receive a portion of fruit and vegetables.

In this way, the children should be able to get the taste of these healthy foods – even if they have not been for a long time – and learn to integrate them naturally into their everyday eating habits. Teachers accompany the programme in an educational manner, so that the children (still) learn more about a balanced diet and the origin of food.

Each portion of fruit and vegetables distributed by the school through the EU school programme is funded with a fixed amount of EU funds, which covers about 75 percent of the costs.

SSC is happy to sponsor the remaining amount. The visit to the school was really great and was great fun,”says Fujan Nuryan Dehkordi, who at SSC ensures that the supply of healthy fruit is always guaranteed.
