The Media Solution Center BW organizes the TechTalks Stuttgart, where research meets production. The event at the Theater Rampe in Stuttgart started with impulse lectures focusing on technology for scientists, producers, artists, students and the interested public.
Afterwards, the visitors had the opportunity to present themselves, their current projects, their company or their institution at the open stage. Our SWAN requirements manager Christopher Röhl took advantage of this opportunity to actively exchange ideas. He presented our SWAN data exchange solution, which SSC is making available to the film industry as part of a cooperation project with the high-performance computer center Stuttgart (HLRS).
Animation and VFX studios that previously transferred their data to the HLRS for hard disk rendering can now easily send their large amounts of data to the supercomputer via SWAN and receive the processed data back automatically.
The project coordinator of the Media Solution Center BW thanked SSC and Christopher for the entertaining lecture and we thank them for the opportunity to present the project in this context.
