SSC data management platform at the HPC User Forum

At the HPC User Forum at HLRS in Stuttgart, Matthias Stroezel presented the new SSC data management platform SCALES.

Small and medium-sized enterprises often do not have the necessary know-how to use high performance computing (HPC). As part of the European project EXCELLERAT, SSC developed a secure data exchange and transfer platform for industry, which is aimed at SMEs and is intended to facilitate their access to HPC.

Specifically, the data management platform SCALES realizes the data transfer from the producer of data to High Performance Computing centers for data computation and back.
This not only facilitates the use of HPC for SMEs in industry, but also makes data transfer more efficient.

“With our data management platform SCALES, we want to break down the barriers for the use of HPC by industry. Thereby data exchange should become a matter of course in the long term and no longer represent an obstacle for those involved “, SSC Managing Director Matthias Stroezel explains.
