Other data are collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. These data are primarily technical data such as the browser and operating system you are using or when you accessed the page. These data are collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the proper functioning of the website. Other data can be used to analyze how visitors use the site.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You always have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge. You also have the right to request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions about the issue of privacy and data protection. You may also, of course, file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities.
We process the personal data that we receive from you in the context of your application or expression of interest. This is the data that you provide us with in the context of your application or expression of interest, in particular by submitting your application documents and your details in job interviews. In the course of the application process, we may collect further personal data from you personally or from generally accessible sources, provided that you give us your consent to do so or another legal permission to collect data exists.
On our careers page you can send us applications for open positions or speculative applications by email or by using our applicant portal. The following data or categories of data are collected and used to process your application:
Contact details: your first name, surname, email address

If you use the applicant portal on our website, your entries will be processed in a cloud-based processing program of the provider Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße, 4-6 32339 Espelkamp (subsequently “order processor”). It goes without saying that sufficient technical security measures are applied during the transmission and storage of your data, in particular state-of-the-art encryption procedures. The order processor shall use and process the data only on our behalf and not for its own purposes. The order processor is contractually obliged by us to ensure the protection of your data by technical and organisational measures.
After receipt of your application, your applicant data will be reviewed by the personnel department and the specialist managers at our company. Within the company, only those persons who need access to your data to carry out the application procedure have access to your data. All those involved treat your application documents with absolute confidentiality.
We process the data that you send us in relation to your application in order to check your suitability for the advertised position (or other open positions in our company, if applicable) and to carry out the application procedure. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is insofar § 26 BDSG, according to which the processing of your data is permissible as long as it is necessary in the context of the decision to establish an employment relationship. Should an application procedure lead to your employment, we will include your application documents in your personnel file on this basis in carrying out the employment relationship.
Further data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 DSGVO, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests under Art. 6 para. 1 letter f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest may consist, for example, in the assertion of or defence against claims, which is why we delete or anonymize your data in the event of rejection as soon as a period of three months has elapsed after the application procedure has been completed.
You can object to this analysis. We will inform you below about how to exercise your options in this regard.
Please note that data transmitted via the internet (e.g. via email communication) may be subject to security breaches. Complete protection of your data from third-party access is not possible.
We, SSC-Services GmbH (“SSC”), use the Microsoft Teams tool to conduct video conferences or online meetings. Microsoft Teams is a (partial) product of Microsoft 365 and a service of Microsoft Ireland Operations. When using Microsoft Teams, various personal data and types of data are processed. The scope of the data also depends on the information you provide before or during participation in an online meeting.
The following personal data are subject to processing:
User details: display name, email address, profile picture (optional), preferred language
Meeting metadata: g. date, start and end time, meeting ID, phone number, location
Text, audio and video data: You have the option of using the chat function in an online meeting. In this case, the text entries you make are processed in order to display them in the online meeting. Audio and video data are processed during the online meeting.
If we record online meetings in exceptional cases, especially for training purposes, you will be informed of this before the start or it will be displayed in the online meeting and – if necessary – you will be asked for your consent. Consent can be given, for example, by means of an affirmative message in the chat; it is always voluntary. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can leave the online meeting. In case of recording, files of all video, audio and presentation recordings will be made. If required for the purposes of logging the results of an online meeting, a text file of the online meeting chat will also be stored. Recording of Microsoft Teams sessions is only permitted to certain individuals at SSC.
Insofar as we conduct online meetings with our business partners via Microsoft Teams as part of contract performance, the legal basis for data processing is 6 par. 1 lit. b) DSGVO.
Insofar as personal data of employees is processed at SSC, 26 BDSG is the legal basis for data processing.
If, in connection with the use of Microsoft Teams, personal data is not required for the establishment, implementation or termination of the employment relationship or the fulfilment of the contract with our business partners, but is nevertheless an elementary component in the use of Microsoft Teams, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO (our legitimate interests) is the legal basis for the data processing. We have a legitimate interest in the use of modern means of communication, which include the transmission of audiovisual content. We have implemented and realised Microsoft Teams in a data protection-friendly manner in the interest of our employees and business partners and refrain from collecting and storing data that is not necessary or superfluous.
If the processing of the data is based on your consent (especially in the context of the records described above), 6 para. (1) a) DSGVO is the relevant legal basis.
Personal data processed in connection with participation in online meetings will not be disclosed by us to third parties as a matter of principle, unless it is specifically intended for disclosure. However, please note in this context that content from online meetings – as with face-to-face meetings – is often used precisely to exchange information with customers, interested parties or third parties.
Microsoft Teams is a service provided by a provider from the USA (Microsoft Corporation, Washington) via a European subsidiary. We have contractually bound Microsoft to the General Data Protection Regulation via a so-called order processing agreement. Nevertheless, we cannot completely exclude access from this side or from US authorities to the circumstances and contents of communication via Teams. However, if data is also processed outside the EU, we take appropriate and reasonable measures to ensure an adequate level of data protection, e.g. by concluding so-called EU standard contractual clauses.
Further information on the handling of personal data at SSC, in particular on exercising your rights as a data subject, can be found in SSC’s general data protection information at https://www.ssc-services.de/datenschutz/.
Information from Microsoft on data processing via Microsoft Teams is available here: https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

The competent regulatory authority for matters related to data protection legislation is the data protection officer of the German state in which our company is headquartered. A list
of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html

If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.
